Help Center / Company Brain

Build your company’s private construction knowledge library

Upload bids, closeouts, pricing sheets, scopes, specifications, and company documents so Foreman AI can reference your real history across plans and estimates.

What Company Brain is

Company Brain is your company’s evidence layer. It stores documents Foreman AI can search and cite when reviewing plans, building estimates, comparing scope, and explaining historical pricing.

A Company Brain document is evidence—not automatically an approved reusable rate. Reviewed reusable rates belong in the Cost Catalog.

  • Historical bids and estimates
  • Closeouts and final invoices
  • Pricing and unit-cost sheets
  • Scope templates and specifications
  • Labor burden, vendor, and subcontractor documents

Upload and indexing

Open the Company Brain workspace tab, stay on Library, and upload one or more supported files. Choose a category and optional folder, then upload.

Foreman AI indexes each document. When indexing finishes, the document becomes searchable across your company workspace.

  • PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, PPTX, TXT, RTF
  • Foreman AI indexing status
  • Search by filename, folder, or category

Organize the library

Use search, category filters, sorting, folders, and collapsible groups to keep a large document library manageable.

  • Create folders with + Folder
  • Drag documents into folders
  • Unfiled contains documents without a folder
  • Click category badges to recategorize
  • Use the trash button to remove a document

How Foreman AI uses it

When estimating, Foreman AI can search Company Brain for similar bids, closeouts, historical costs, scope language, and specifications. It should clearly identify the source document and never present document evidence as an approved current company rate without review.

Use our latest concrete closeout as evidence for this estimate.
Compare this subcontractor bid to our previous projects.
